National Night Out

From Caroll Township Police Department:

We wish to invite the residents of Carroll Township, Monaghan Township and Dillsburg Borough to attend our annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT celebration, which will be held on August 3, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Logan Park

We also would welcome any volunteers to help out at the event. Contact Sgt. Smith by phone or email (dsmithsgt@comcast.net) to arrange donations. If you can help volunteer at the event contact Josh Dourte (joshua@dourte.com).

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is a nationwide event held every year on the first Tuesday of August. The concept of National Night Out is to promote crime prevention within the community, and to take back our streets from criminals and drug dealers, in an effort to make our streets safe for families by a heightened community awareness in combating crime and drugs. Together we can create a strong neighborhood spirit of community-police relationship in combating these problems.

Sandy is a mixed media and gardening artist that caters to clients locally and as far as Baltimore MD. Scholarship Application Available

The Dillsburg Area Business Association will give scholarships to two students residing in Northern York School District. We are happy to announce that each scholarship will be $1,000 in 2010.

Students need to complete the application and return to the Guidance offer no later than April 30, 2010.

Requirements:

- Accepted at an accredited institution of higher learning

- Student must be a resident of Northern York County (or Northern School District)

Light Up Night Friday December 4th 7pm

Come on out to the annual Holiday Light Up Night on the square in Dillsburg on Friday December 4th, 2009. Everything starts promptly at 7pm. There will be a reading from the Mayor, music, lighting of the town tree, a story, and a visit from Santa. Afterward, head to the library for cookies, hot chocolate and cider.
